SUMMARY:London Eco Champion Awards 2025
DESCRIPTION:Nominations close Monday 27 October 2025 at 10am.\nThe London Eco Champion Awards is a competition that aims to highlight those that are committed to creating positive change\, and show that any initiative\, however small or large\, should be rewarded and celebrated. Originally created as the Camden Eco Champion Awards\, we re-launched in 2024 as the London Eco Champion Awards. \nThere are categories for Mini Warriors (ages 5-11)\, Junior Heroes (ages 12-17)\, Local Leaders\, (18+)\, Super Schools (i.e. entire schools\, eco-committees\, etc) and Better Business (commercial and for profit busniesses). \nHow does it work?  \nAnybody can nominate anybody! If you have a friend\, family member\, colleague\, neighbour\, or teacher\, anyone who you think is an Eco Champion and should be rewarded for their work then you can nominate them for an Eco Champion Award. \nAll nominations are then marked by a panel of esteemed judges to determine the top 3 eco champions for each of our four categories. All shortlisted participants will be invited to an awards ceremony where we will announce 3rd\, 2nd\, and 1st in each category\, and give out a range of fantastic prizes.   \nNominations close on 3 November 2025. \nWhat are you waiting for? Nominate your eco champions here!

SUMMARY:Green Futures Event Job Fair
DESCRIPTION:As we push towards net-zero\, the demand for “green skills” is rapidly increasing. Unfortunately these green jobs are often absent from the traditional employment conversation\, meaning that a SKILLS GAP exists between what employers need and what jobseekers are looking for. The Green Futures Event Job Fair aims to bridge that gap and offers attendees the opportunity to explore a wide range of careers within the sustainability sector.\n\nWe are now partnering with the Mayor’s Green Skills Academy at Capital City College and Westminster City Council to invite jobseekers and students from around the borough\, as well as further education students and adults that are out of employment.\n\nREGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:The Green Futures Event - 26 June 2026
DESCRIPTION:Green Futures Event – 26 June 2026\nOur Green Futures Events are designed to introduce young people aged 16+ and and jobseekers aged 18+ to green careers spanning renewable energy\, construction\, sustainable finance and transport\, infrastructure\, architecture\, conservation\, waste and recycling\, environmental law\, sustainable fashion\, climate activism\, and many other green careers. \nThe events revolve around a green career fair where students and jobseekers can meet organisations\, along with talks and workshops about CV writing\, upskilling\, air quality and many of the other areas of sustainability described above. \nOur Green Futures Events offer attendees an invaluable opportunity to explore careers within the\nsustainability sector\, sparking interest in roles that directly contribute to a healthier planet. As we push toward net-zero goals\, demand for “green skills” is rapidly increasing. However\, because green jobs are often absent from traditional curricula\, people may miss the chance to understand or even imagine\nthemselves in these future-focused roles. \nWe aim to bridge this gap\, giving our attendees not only the opportunity to meet real employers\, but a clear pathway to upskilling through work further education courses\, bootcamps\, work experiences\, internships and apprenticeship\, all the way to real jobs. \n  \n\nThere are 3 Parts to a Green Futures Event\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGreen Career Fair\n\n\n\n\nOur Career Fairs are an avenue for students to specifically hear from a range of sustainable businesses about what they do\, the technology or processes they may be developing\, the future career opportunities they might offer\, and the many new jobs that exist in sustainability. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIndustry Talks\n\n\n\n\nThe event offers talks from industry experts on specific topics and career paths that are attended by those students who have a particular interest in those career pathways. These are generally delivered by professionals who are already employed in those specific fields/careers. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWorkshops\n\n\n\n\nThe event also offers interactive workshops demonstrating the types of skills and problem-solving demonstrated in various green career pathways. These serve as a great avenue for an organisation to engage more directly with a small group of students at a time through hands-on experiences.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPrevious Speakers\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“It was a real pleasure to be part of such an inspiring day and to see so many young people engaging with the future of our city. The energy\, curiosity\, and ambition in the room were brilliant – a real credit to the hard work that you and your team have put into creating such a meaningful platform. The numbers you shared are fantastic and speak volumes. Thank you again for everything you’re doing for young people in London. I look forward to staying in touch and continuing to work together to make sure their voices are heard in shaping our city’s future.”\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMete Coban MBE\nDeputy Mayor of London for Environment and Energy\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
