Raising Awareness – UCL Research

Monitoring how increased awareness of pollution at community level impacts behavioural change.

In partnership with University College London (UCL) and supported by the London Boroughs of Camden and Islington, this research investigates whether raising awareness about the harmful effects of air pollution on newborns and young children can influence behavioral change among parents, carers, and nursery workers. The study aims to empower these groups with knowledge to reduce their exposure to harmful pollutants, potentially preventing long-term health issues for vulnerable populations.

Impact:

This research could drive greater community engagement in air quality initiatives and enhance the effectiveness of educational campaigns targeting those most at risk.
