Community Air Pollution Sensor (CAPS) Project

The Community Air Pollution Sensor (CAPS) Project is a series of experiential workshops for students with the mission of turning apathy into action, empowering communities to tackle issues around their local environments through citizen science and collective action.

CAPS engages young students in understanding air quality, using tech and coding for hands-on learning.

The CAPS Project addresses the crucial issue of air pollution by empowering communities through education, by making them part of the solution, by giving them the necessary tools to measure change. Our engaging educational program – getting secondary school students to build their own portable air pollution sensors – aims to raise awareness about environmental issues and encourage active participation in creating healthier and greener spaces to live, work and study in.
