Green Futures Event – 26 June 2026

Our Green Futures Events are designed to introduce young people aged 16+ and and jobseekers aged 18+ to green careers spanning renewable energy, construction, sustainable finance and transport, infrastructure, architecture, conservation, waste and recycling, environmental law, sustainable fashion, climate activism, and many other green careers.

The events revolve around a green career fair where students and jobseekers can meet organisations, along with talks and workshops about CV writing, upskilling, air quality and many of the other areas of sustainability described above.

Our Green Futures Events offer attendees an invaluable opportunity to explore careers within the
sustainability sector, sparking interest in roles that directly contribute to a healthier planet. As we push toward net-zero goals, demand for “green skills” is rapidly increasing. However, because green jobs are often absent from traditional curricula, people may miss the chance to understand or even imagine
themselves in these future-focused roles.

We aim to bridge this gap, giving our attendees not only the opportunity to meet real employers, but a clear pathway to upskilling through work further education courses, bootcamps, work experiences, internships and apprenticeship, all the way to real jobs.

There are 3 Parts to a Green Futures Event

Green Career Fair

Our Career Fairs are an avenue for students to specifically hear from a range of sustainable businesses about what they do, the technology or processes they may be developing, the future career opportunities they might offer, and the many new jobs that exist in sustainability.

Industry Talks

The event offers talks from industry experts on specific topics and career paths that are attended by those students who have a particular interest in those career pathways. These are generally delivered by professionals who are already employed in those specific fields/careers.

Workshops

The event also offers interactive workshops demonstrating the types of skills and problem-solving demonstrated in various green career pathways. These serve as a great avenue for an organisation to engage more directly with a small group of students at a time through hands-on experiences.

Previous Speakers

“It was a real pleasure to be part of such an inspiring day and to see so many young people engaging with the future of our city. The energy, curiosity, and ambition in the room were brilliant – a real credit to the hard work that you and your team have put into creating such a meaningful platform. The numbers you shared are fantastic and speak volumes. Thank you again for everything you’re doing for young people in London. I look forward to staying in touch and continuing to work together to make sure their voices are heard in shaping our city’s future.”
Mete Coban MBE
Deputy Mayor of London for Environment and Energy
