Capel Manor College is London’s specialist environmental college, offering practical, career-focused education in areas such as horticulture, animal management, forestry, landscaping and wildlife conservation. Through courses, apprenticeships and industry training, it helps school leavers and adults develop the skills and experience needed for hands-on careers in the green economy.
NATURE & BIODIVERSITY
Heath Hands is a conservation charity that protects and maintains Hampstead Heath and other green spaces across North London. Through practical conservation, wildlife monitoring, environmental education and community volunteering, it helps preserve local habitats while making nature accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
London Zoo is part of ZSL, a global science-led conservation charity working to protect wildlife and restore natural habitats. Alongside caring for thousands of animals, the zoo supports conservation breeding, scientific research, species reintroduction and educational programmes that inspire people to protect the natural world.
SUSTAINABLE INFRASTRUCTURE
Tideway is the infrastructure company responsible for financing, delivering and maintaining the Thames Tideway Tunnel – London’s 25-kilometre ”super sewer.” The tunnel captures and transfers sewage for treatment instead of allowing it to overflow into the River Thames, helping reduce air pollution, protect wildlife and improve the river for London’s communities.

Power Up North London is a community energy organisation that helps schools, community centres, healthcare facilities and other local organisations reduce their energy use, costs and carbon emissions. It delivers renewable energy and efficiency projects using solutions such as solar panels, heat pumps, LED lighting and building improvements, supporting communities in the transition to a low-carbon future.
TECHNOLOGY & INNOVATION
Brightly Software (A Siemens company) provides digital tools that help organisations manage and maintain buildings, equipment and public infrastructure throughout their lifecycles. Using real-time data, AI and predictive technology, its software helps teams plan maintenance, prevent failures, reduce costs, improve energy efficiency and make better long-term investment decisions.
GOVERNMENT & POLICY
The Euston Skills Centre a specialist construction training hub operated by United Colleges Group in partnership with Camden Council. It provides practical courses for young people, apprentices and adult learners in trades such as plumbing, carpentry and electrical installation, alongside green technologies including solar energy, heat pumps and electric-vehicle charging. Its industry-focused training helps learners progress into apprenticeships, further study and employment.
Camden Future Talent helps local young people gain the skills, experience and confidence needed to enter the workplace. The service connects participants with work experience, internships and apprenticeships across different industries, while offering tailored support with applications, interviews and workplace development. It also works with employers to create accessible and inclusive opportunities for Camden residents.
Westminster Adults Education Service (WAES) is Westminster City Council’s adult college, helping people develop skills, gain qualifications and progress in their careers. It offers flexible courses, apprenticeships and employability programmes across areas including green skills and retrofit, digital technology, business, creative arts, healthcare, English and maths.
Holloway Park’s Green Skills Hub provides Islington residents with access to training, resources and practical workshops focused on green energy, construction and employability. It also offers free space for local organisations to deliver community activities, energy-advice sessions and skills programmes, helping residents prepare for sustainable careers and access local employment opportunities.
Islington Council’s Jobs and Careers Service helps residents find local employment and develop the skills needed to progress in their careers. It provides access to job vacancies, personalised employment support, apprenticeships, graduate schemes and training opportunities, supporting people who are entering work, changing careers or looking to build new skills.
Westminster City Council provides essential public services to residents, businesses and visitors across the borough. Its careers service offers employment, apprenticeship and graduate opportunities across areas including environmental services, housing, planning, regeneration, public health, children’s services, finance and community support, enabling people to build careers that positively impact Westminster.
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is the UK government department responsible for employment support, welfare benefits, pensions and child maintenance. Through services including Jobcentre Plus, it helps people find work, access training and build their careers, while providing financial support to those who are unemployed, retired, disabled or living with a health condition.
CIRCULAR ECONOMY & WASTE
Veolia is an environmental services company specialising in waste, water and energy management. It collects and recycles waste, treats water and wastewater, generates renewable energy and helps organisations reduce carbon emissions and use resources more efficiently.
