On Monday 24 November 2025, The London Clean Air Initiative hosted the fifth annual London Eco Champion Awards at its largest venue yet – Kings Place in King’s Cross. With over 150 attendees, this event continues to highlight the significant impact of young people, communities, schools and businesses who participate in sustainable practices to protect the environment and help achieve a greener future.

Our re-wilding projects and green walls are a core element of our corporate volunteering programme, offering hands-on volunteering days which connect teams to visible, lasting impact in their local community.
Commercial Cooking – UCL Research
This project addresses the significant but often overlooked impact of commercial cooking on local air quality. Conducted in collaboration with local restaurants and supported by University College London (UCL), the research examines how awareness of pollution data influences businesses’ willingness to improve ventilation systems and adopt cleaner cooking practices.
Raising Awareness – UCL Research
In partnership with University College London (UCL) and supported by the London Boroughs of Camden and Islington, this research investigates whether raising awareness about the harmful effects of air pollution on newborns and young children can influence behavioral change among parents, carers, and nursery workers.
Parklets
A Parklet is a car parking space that is converted into a community space for something more environment or community focused such as bike racks, seating areas, or green space. We are aiming to increase the number of Parklets in the Borough.

The London Clean Air Cycle Ride
Encouraging active travel has always been at the heart of our sustainability mission. On Saturday 29 June 2024, we hosted the 2024 edition of our friendly, non-competitive bike ride that starts and finishes at Granary Square and goes past some of the most iconic sights in the capital.
